Dead End Dreams
M & M
From the time we're children, we are told that we can be 'anything we want to be'. Well, what happens if that isn't enough? What happens if what you want to be, isn't paying the bills? How do you find happiness in the amount of chaotic sacrificing we must make to turn our 'dreams' into a reality? And is there a fine line between success and happiness? Or are they the same, depending on your situation? How many people can say they LOVE what they do, even if they're broke? And if they're broke, how often do they want to give up? And do they? But what if they don't, how do they stay afloat? How do they compromise and find a happy middle ground? How do you keep your dreams alive, when the odds are against you from the start?
This documentary will explore all of the questions/topics listed above. Hopefully to bring light into the world of artists. To show audiences it really isn't that easy, and that this is a REAL JOB. We will be on the road this summer with Indiana's own Don't Call It A Comeback for their summer tour(s).
What would you do if you were to blame for the death of your little sister? Would you turn yourself in? Or would you try to escape? The Story of "M&M" asks audiences that very question. Follow along, as Mimi is faced with the hardest decision she's ever had to make in her life, while she watches the only person she's had by her side slip away from her.
Two Sisters. One Life
Carlie has been shooting still photography since 2007, and has received training from Bowling Green State University's Film & VCT programs. She takes her inspiration from her small town roots, and pairs that with a unique and comfortable approach with each client. So that each session is one of a kind.
She specializes in on location and freelance photography. Family, Couple, and Senior Portraits. As well as event and party coverage.
In 2014 Carlie got a job working for the media outlet and magazine, Stage Dive Magazine. Since joining the staff there she has shot bands like, Panic! At The Disco, Modern Baseball, Twin Forks, Circa Survive, Citizen, Man Overboard, Transit, OAR, Michelle Willams, Parachute, and New Found Glory. It has become her favorite aspect of photography, and one of her favorite things to do.
Her film work follows the same concept. She takes most of her muse from her daily life, or those around her. And tries to give a unique and urban perspective from each of her projects. She is a graduate of the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, and has dedicated years to perfecting her craft in film from the time she was a sophomore in high school. She hopes to one day return to Los Angeles to continue her dream of being an academy nominated director.
Dead End Dreams is the current project.
All projects are created, funded, and produced solely by Carlie unless stated otherwise.
